GRADE 5- This year we will focus on the geography of the U.S. and Canada and how it impacted their development. We will also discuss the early people living in North America and the experiences they had when colonists started to arrive from Europe. We will also discuss major turning points and events in the United States such as European exploration, life in the 13 Colonies, American Revolution and War of 1812, and westward expansion in the 19^th century. We will also discuss documents such as the Mayflower Compact, Declaration of Independence, Articles of the Confederation, and the United States Constitution.

GRADE 6- This year we will mostly focus on ancient civilizations and how they impacted the development of the world. Some of the civilizations we will discuss this year include Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, Greece, and Rome. We will discuss government types, customs and traditions, and how world religions played a role in the development of civilizations. Our year will end with discussion on the Middle Ages.
