BARKER -- On Friday the JV Baseball team picked up its first win of the season with a 12-5 decision over visiting Akron. Jake Desmarais was 4 for 4 while Tanner Gregoire had three hits. Doug Bachman had two of the 11 Barker hits. Gregoire drove in three runs while Jake Elniskey and Desmarais each had two RBI. Zach Golding added an RBI double.
Elniskey and Alonzo St. Louis combined for the victory mound. Elniskey struck out nine in five innings while allowing only two hits. St. Louis closed out the final two innings with three strikeouts.
Barker is now 1-2 in league play and 1-3 overall.
